Random Number Generator

Generate one or many random integers in a minimum–maximum range you set. Optional “no duplicates” mode draws unique numbers when the range is large enough.

What is Random Number Generator?

A random number generator (RNG) produces numbers that are not chosen by hand — useful for games, sampling, raffles, and classroom demos. Online RNGs typically let you set a range and how many values to draw.

How it works

Set min, max, and count, then generate. Each value is chosen with the browser’s random number facilities across the inclusive integer range. With “no duplicates” enabled, each draw is unique until the range is exhausted (count cannot exceed the size of the range).

How to use Random Number Generator

  1. Set the minimum and maximum (inclusive).
  2. Choose how many numbers to generate.
  3. Optionally enable no duplicates.
  4. Click Generate and copy the results.

Worked examples

Concrete numbers and cases you can check against the tool above.

Pick 5 numbers from 1–50 without repeats

Set min 1, max 50, count 5, enable no duplicates. You get five distinct integers — useful for raffle-style draws. If you ask for 60 unique numbers in a 1–50 range, unique mode cannot succeed because the range is too small.

Single d100-style roll

Min 1, max 100, count 1. Each click is a new independent draw (duplicates allowed across separate generations). For dice with custom sides, the dice roller may feel more natural; for arbitrary ranges, use this RNG.

Duplicates and uniqueness

Without “no duplicates,” the same integer can appear more than once — like rolling a die repeatedly. With uniqueness on, the tool samples without replacement. If you need a random order of an entire list of names, use the list shuffler or name picker instead.

Not for cryptography

Casual games and classroom use are fine. For security-critical keys, tokens, or lotteries with legal requirements, use dedicated cryptographic generators and follow the rules of that system.

When to use Random Number Generator

Picking “random” numbers mentally is biased. A simple generator is faster for raffle tickets, practice sets, and game prompts — and you can copy a list of results in one click.

Common use cases

  • Generate raffle or seating numbers in a range.
  • Sample random IDs within a testing range.
  • Pick a random page number for a book club.
  • Create multiple integers for classroom probability demos.

Inputs and outputs

  • Integers within your chosen numeric range
  • One or many results; optional unique draws

Frequently asked questions

Can numbers repeat?
Yes, unless you enable no duplicates. Unique mode requires that the count not exceed the size of the min–max range.
Is this suitable for cryptography?
For casual use, yes. For security-critical keys, prefer dedicated cryptographic tooling and OS facilities.
Are results logged?
No.
